The Volcan Mountain Foundation's 2018 Sustaining Friends Spring Exploration is coming up on Sunday, May 20th. There is no event charge for this essential connection and discovery outing of the Sustaining Friends group, but it's important that you register. Please fill in and submit the form below.
*If you prefer, you can always phone (760-765-2300) or email your RSVP to the VMF office.
This year, we'll be enjoying Volcan Mountain in all her late afternoon, twilight glory. This is a unique opportunity to experience an exceptionally stunning area of Volcan (that is not open to the general public) during an enigmatic time of day. Volcan's crepuscular* animals will be starting to come out, the sun's rays will be softening, and it's diffuse light warming as it lowers on the horizon.
We will take in a 45-minute or so walk and then enjoy a light afternoon/evening, gourmet repast as we watch the sun set along the coast from Volcan's crest. Photographers in our midst will want to be sure and bring their cameras to capture the mountain in its "golden hour".
Due to the gated-access, it's very important to register for this annual Spring Exploration and plan to arrive no later than 3:30pm, as the group caravan will be departing at that time. NOTE NEW MEETING LOCATION BELOW.
Date: Sunday, May 20th, 2018
Time: 3:30pm-7:30pm
Location: Meet at the Farmer Road staging area of County Park's Santa Ysabel Preserve East. This is located at 500 Farmer Road, Julian, CA 92036; (If using a mapping app, use this link & do not type the address in)
Help us grow this important visioning and support group!
If you know a friend or couple that may also be interested in becoming a member of the Sustaining Friends of Volcan Mountain, we encourage you to invite them to join you on this annual outing for exploration and discovery of the Volcan Mountain Range. Please be sure and mention your guest(s) when you register.
