New Acquisitions! 87 More Acres Preserved in December

VMF is excited to report that another 87 acres of habitat was preserved in December with the closing of two escrows.  The 37 acre property with year round headwaters for Santa Ysabel Creek at the end of Farmer Road, and the Gateway to Volcan Mountain, was acquired from the Grand Family.  Also a pristine 50 acre parcel near Volcan's ridge was acquired from the Geis family with a generous gift from a private donor.  Located within the heart of thousands of acres of adjacent already preserved lands, these new acquisitions not only protect sensitive riparian and woodland habitat, but help to ensure that critical wildland and wildlife corridors remain intact and functional.  We look forward to the new conservation and outreach opportunities that will arise from these acquisitions in the coming year.  Be sure to sure to sign up for VMF's e-news, so that you can stay connected and up to date.
