Conserving the Volcan Mountain Range means: 

• Working to add over 20,000 acres of conserved lands since 1988--over 34,000 acres of the Range have been conserved to date
• Caring for, restoring, and monitoring  the vital natural water, wildland, and wildlife resources of this important part of San Diego
• Acting as ambassadors to inform, connect and engage the broad community of San Diegans, from youth to sage, that benefit from the pristine headwaters and forests of Volcan Mountain
• Thinking globally, while acting locally to make an important regional environmental impact that supports worldwide climate change efforts

VMF staff and volunteers roll up their sleeves and sharpen their pencils every day to conserve Volcan Mountain for you, and yet, we can't do it without you.

• There are still critical areas of the Volcan Mountain Range to acquire and and habitat to monitor and care for
• There are still generations of students and life-long learners to connect with nature to nurture the future stewardship of Volcan Mountain
• There is still wildlife that is threatened and needs champions to advocate for their rights and their home
