'All About Julian' with Ranger Roger at Santa Ysabel Preserve East-Saturday, August 9th
Location
Saturday, August 9th join County Park Ranger Roger at Santa Ysabel Preserve East for his fun, interesting and informative 'All About Julian' talk. Find out about the gold boom, the development of the Julian area, the short-lived ski resort, and what happened to the bears! Learn why the oaks are dying and what we are doing about it. Meet Ranger Roger at the Santa Ysabel East staging area on Farmer Road at 10am. Inclement weather will cancel the event.
After the talk enjoy a walk or hike through the easy, rolling, meandering trails of the preserve among the oaks and sycamores along Santa Ysabel Creek. The picnic table at the creek crossing 1 1/2 miles in makes a great spot for lunch or a snack. For updates or questions about this event, contact the County Ranger office at 760-765-4098.
