
August 6th, 7th & 8th-Summer in Nature on Volcan Mountain
Location
Summer is a grand time to discover, adventure in, and explore nature at the headwaters of Santa Ysabel Creek shaded by abundant cedars, pines, and oaks. Enjoy three afternoons of free, family-friendly nature programs of short hikes, nature crafts and songs at the Volcan Mountain Foundation Gateway Nature Education Center outdoor classroom from 3-5:30pm. VMF Education Coordinator, Kathleen Beck, and naturalist Greg Hill will lead the group of happy hikers to great heights with their vast experience on naturalist adventures.
Day One, Tuesday, August 6th: Discover the wondrous inhabitants of the mixed conifer forest
Day Two, Wednesday, August 7th: Adventure along the source waters of Santa Ysabel Creek
Day Three, Thursday, August 8th: Explore decomposers on the forest floor and share in a nature craft
