Sunday, August 11th, 2013-Volunteer Workshop-All Invited!
Location
Do you love nature and meeting people? Do you want to share your interests, and help others discover backcountry treasures like Volcan Mountain? The Volcan Mountain Foundation (VMF) is looking for volunteer ambassadors interested in helping out in a variety of ways while having fun—public outreach, volunteering at events, outdoor education with VMF’s student programs, and much more!
Not sure where to start? VMF will be offering a free workshop on Sunday, August 11th, 2013 from 9am-3pm that will help volunteers develop the skills to share their interests and love of nature with visitors and students of all ages. The fun and interesting workshop will be presented by, VMF Advisory Board member and coach, Mary Aldern at VMF's Gateway Nature Education Center—located at the beautifully forested headwaters to Santa Ysabel Creek.
The workshop is free for new and current Volcan Volunteers. Volunteers for other organizations may attend for a small fee.
If you are interested in attending the workshop or future classes, please visit www.VolcanMt.org or contact VMF Education Coordinator, Kathleen Beck at VMFEducation@VolcanMt.org or 760-518-3273.
