Wildcrafting: Spring Greens Forest Feast; Sunday, March 5th, 2017

Date:
Sunday, March 5, 2017 - 10:00am

Sunday, March 5th come discover wildcrafting and share in a Spring Greens Forest Feast at the Volcan Mountain Foundation's Volcan Mountain Nature Center at the headwaters of Santa Ysabel Creek in Julian.

While winter is still in full swing, we're also seeing the early signs of spring! VMF Education Coordinator, Janice Smith will lead you on a short hike through the lush Volcan forest to identify edible plants and pick some for recipes. Then everyone will roll up their sleeves to prepare Stinging Nettle Pesto (to serve with pasta), a Miner's Lettuce & Spring Greens Salad, Douglas Fir Needle Shortbread Cookies, and Manzanita Bark Tea.

From 10am-1pm. Activity Fee is $20 per person. Click Here to Register

Space is limited to 12 participants--REGISTER NOW!

You may contact Nicole at the VMF office with questions or for more information at 760-765-2300 or admin@volcanmt.org.

Due to the gated entry for VMF's Volcan Mountain Nature Center (22850 Volcan Road, Julian, CA), please plan to arrive between 9:45 and 9:55.
