Volunteer in the Battle Against Invasive Plants--Saturday, September 30th, 2017

Date:
Saturday, September 30, 2017 - 8:30am

Saturday, September 30th, come out for a volunteer work party and help remove invasive plants around the Volcan Mountain Foundation Nature Center. Volcan Mountain Foundation Conservation Chair, Sharyl Massey is looking for a few good volunteers that aren’t afraid to roll up their sleeves and get dirty in the battle against invasive plants. Of course, there’s always fun to be had too!

….MANY HANDS MAKE LIGHT WORK, SO ANYONE INTERESTED IS WELCOME!

Come discover the Volcan Mountain Nature Center property and see how wonderful it is to be out on the mountain, helping to keep it fire safe and wild. Bring your work gloves if you have them. We'll have extras too.

Please note that this is a private gated property. Please CLICK HERE TO REGISTER or please phone us at 760-765-2300 by 5:00 pm Friday, September 29th so we can make arrangements to get you on the property.

We'll meet you at the Volcan/Farmer Road gate (the large gate at the very north end of Farmer Road with the yellow END sign) to VMF’s Volcan Mountain Nature Center (22850 Volcan Road/4002 Farmer Road, Julian, CA 92036) at 8:30 am--event runs until 12:30 pm.

Thank you to all of you who give your time and talents to help protect and care for the Volcan Mountain Range!
