Sunday, August 30 - Earth needs you! The Mission for Operation Thistle Take-Down is to search-and-destroy the invasive Bull Thistle growing at VMF's Volcan Mountain Nature Center in Julian. Gear up and sign up below! Together we will restore the forest to its healthy, natural ecosystem!

What to Bring and Wear: Snacks and/or lunch and water. Wear sturdy shoes. Bring your work/gardening gloves and shovels, if you have them. We have extras as well.

Location: Volcan/Farmer Road gate (the north end of Farmer Road with the yellow END sign) 22850 Volcan Road/4002 Farmer Road, Julian, CA 92036 Note that this is a private gated property.
