The Summer Mingle is back for 2018 on Sunday, July 8th!

The Sustaining Friends Summer Mingle was a big hit in its first year last year. A big thank you again to Pat & Darrell Straube and Orchard Hill Country Inn for holding this fun summer get-together for the Sustaining Friends group!

Sunday, May 26th - Spring is finally here and the feeling of renewal is in the air!  To celebrate we thought it would be fun to pamper ourselves. 

Herbal salves and lip balms are ointments that can be used to sooth and moisturize your skin and lips and are easy to make from the fresh 'weeds' you have in your backyard or garden. You'll learn about the qualities of different plants that can help you customize herbal salves that you make to suit your needs.

Sunday, April 22nd, 2018, the Volcan Mountain Foundation is joining forces with the San Diego Backcountry Visitors Bureau and the Julian Chamber of Commerce for the biggest community clean-up event we've ever had in the backcountry!

Operation Backcountry Clean-Up takes place on Earth Day Weekend, and all local community members, businesses and tourists are invited to participate.
