The Volcan Mountain Foundation's annual Sustaining Friends Fall Visioning Day is Sunday, October 15th, 2017. We'll again be gathering at Spencer Valley School in nearby Wynola.
Thursday, October 19th join Volcan Mountain Foundation partners the San Dieguito River Valley Conservancy (SDRVC) and Palomar Audubon for a citizen science bird survey on SDRVC's Volcan Mountain parcels near Julian. This is a great opportunity to hone your bird ID skills with experts, learn about our local mountain bird species, and contribute valuable data to the San Dieguito River Park.
Sunday, January 21st come learn the art of wildcrafting with willow branches at the Volcan Mountain Foundation's Volcan Mountain Nature Center at the headwaters of Santa Ysabel Creek in Julian.
Sunday, November 19th come learn the art of wildcrafting with acorns at the Volcan Mountain Foundation's Volcan Mountain Nature Center at the headwaters of Santa Ysabel Creek in Julian.

Sunday, September 3rd join San Diego County Parks staff for a nature touch table experience where you can see and touch a series of items found in nature and where you can learn about them from a County park ranger! The table will be set up from 9am until Noon in the staging area – a great place to stop before or after you hike.
Saturday, September 23rd, Supporters of Volcan Mountain are invited to join the board and staff of the Volcan Mountain Foundation for an exclusive Supporter Appreciation Reception and tours of VMF's Volcan Mountain Nature Center.
Sunday, September 24th come learn the art of wildcrafting with berries at the Volcan Mountain Foundation's Volcan Mountain Nature Center at the headwaters of Santa Ysabel Creek in Julian. REGISTER NOW!
Saturday, September 30th, come out for a volunteer work party and help remove invasive plants around the Volcan Mountain Foundation Nature Center. Volcan Mountain Foundation Conservation Chair, Sharyl Massey is looking for a few good volunteers that aren’t afraid to roll up their sleeves and get dirty in the battle against invasive plants. Of course, there’s always fun to be had too!
