There will be practical tips for families heading out onto the trails together, demonstrations of smart and safe hiking techniques, and a short hike for all ages in the Santa Ysabel East Preserve.
Sunday, June 18th join San Diego County Park staff for a nature touch table experience where you can see and touch a series of items found in nature and where you can learn about them from a County park ranger! The table will be set up from 8am until noon in the staging area – a great place to stop before or after you hike.

Thursday, June 1st, from 5:30pm-7:30pm, the Volcan Mountain Foundation will be hosting the Julian Chamber of Commerce monthly mixer at VMF's Volcan Mountain Nature Center.
All are invited to come out to explore the Nature Center, enjoy the evening and mingle with Julian friends and VMF staff and board members. Raffle-door prizes are provided by local merchants to showcase their businesses.
