Join the Volcan Mountain Foundation and the San Diego Tracking Team from 8am-3pm on the San Felipe (east) side of Volcan Mountain to learn how to identify local wildlife through tracks and scat.

Naturalist, wildflower expert, and state parks specialist, Larry Hendrickson will guide you through the spring wonders of Volcan Mountain with a behind-the-scenes tour and make a wildflower expert out of you.  As part of this outing you will enjoy a catered lunch courtesy of Carol Pike.  Date:  Saturday, April 28th, 9am.  Cost is $60 per person.

Explore the secrets of beekeeping with Camp Stevens Garden Manager, Ryan Wanamaker.  Participants will each wear a beekeeping suit as they learn the basics of how bees are cared for.  Lunch will be provided courtesy of Camp Stevens.  Date:  Saturday, June 23rd, 2012.  Cost is $90 per person.

Torrey Pines Wildflower Wonders!  Join in a specialized wildflower interpretive walk with two docents at the Torrey Pines State Natural Reserve just for Volcan Mountain Foundation supporters donated by the Torrey Pines Docent Society.  Date:  Sunday, June 10th, 2012, 10am-12pm.  Cost is $15 per person.

Along a short walk from the Hubbell gateway learn about traditional Native American uses for local plants from Volcan Mountain docents Toni Marquette and Sally Snipes, and afterwards participants* will caravan up to Ferguson Flat to enjoy a picnic lunch along the ridgeline provided courtesy of Michael Beck.  *Vehicle arrangements will need to be made with participants.  Date:  Saturday, May 19th, 2012, 9am-1pm.  Cost is $60 per person.

After the first full day of the 1st Annual Julian Wild & Scenic Film Festival there will be a party at the Julian Town Hall with food, drinks and live music by Grand Canyon Sundown.

Tickets can be purchased separately for the party or as part of a festival package in advance or the day of the event.

Get the 1st Annual Wild & Scenic Film Festival started off right with the Friday-night Kick-Off Party at Wynola Farms Marketplace.

The kick-off party offers an opportunity to meet the filmmakers, along with food, drinks and music by Chris Clarke and Plow.  Tickets can be purchased separately or with a film festival package, in advance or on the day of the event.
